Humanised Privacy Policy

The short and sweet version

We’re a company founded to change the world, filled with people whose passion it is to make life easier for everyone.

So yes, we collect data about you. It’s 2018. But using that data for anything evil isn’t really in line with our “Save the world one service at a time” brand. Ditto for the data you actively send to us.

We use these powers for good.

The detailed bits

We follow the requirements set out in the General Data Protection Regulation. This statement explains the information that’s collected by, or in the control of Livework Studio.

The data part

When using our services, you might share personal data with us like your name, contact information, or sharing your experiences on current services you use. Any personal data we use is directly provided by you. We won’t use your personal data for anything other than what you’ve given us permission to do.

We don’t collect any user data about website visitors, we are simple people who use google analytics, which collects basic, anonymous usage data.

We also use MailChimp to send out marketing emails, which are based on consent from the users that can be withdrawn whenever they want.

The sensitive data part

Some of the information we collect during the research phases of our process may be sensitive. This might include medical information for a project with a hospital, or salary information to redesign banking services. The purpose of collecting this information is exclusively to provide insight to current working services.

Really important bit right here

For the processing of any sensitive or identifiable information, we will ALWAYS ask your consent, which can be withdrawn at any time. We only ever keep your data for as long as necessary to do what’s described above. Data that we collect for a project will be anonymized or deleted once the project is finalised.

The processing and storing data part

We process data for a few different reasons, like communicating with our clients, improving their services through research and training them on different methods.

The third party part

We don’t share your data with other parties without your permission unless this is a necessary part of an agreement you or your organisation have taken out with us.

The security part

We do our best to minimise misuse and unauthorised access to personal data. We use pseudonyms to protect sensitive information, we store data on a secured platform, and we secure our offices and shred paper copies of non-electronic personal data.

The part that isn’t really our services

This statement doesn’t apply to other websites you visit through links we share. We can’t vouch for what they’ll do with your data. You’ll have to read their privacy policies and hope they’ve made them readable.

Your rights

You can always ask us for the information we have about you by contacting us directly. We might need you to verify your identity before giving you all that info. You can also contact us to correct any information that is incorrect or if you want the data we hold about you to be deleted.

We’ll do our very best to respond as quickly as possible to the above requests. If for any reason you aren’t happy with the reply from us, you can bring your complaint to the relevant authority.

The bits our lawyers said definitely had to be a part of this even though they are boring so we put them at the bottom.
